Dinner with a famous person

Dinning

What famous person would you like to have dinner with? This is probably a question everyone, at least once, ran through they're heads. This is, of course, only theoretical since the majority of us don't have the necessary social standard or that person is probably already deceased, but imagination has no boundaries and, if you're really good at it you can come very close to the real thing. Thus, this being said, if i could meet three famous persons they would probably be Mitch Hedberg (deceased comedian), Audrey Tautou (actress) and, last but not least, Neil Armstrong (retired astronaut). I choose these persons minding they're achievements, my interests and likes and, of course, curiosity.

Let's start off with Mitch Hedberg. Mitch was a stand up comedian born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on February 24, 1968. First time i saw him on stage was while randomly browsing the Internet and stumbling upon a few videos of him performing. Besides the enormous amount of laughs he gave me, i was drawn to his unique style like unique manner of speech, his abrupt delivery, and an unusual stage presence. His jokes ware out of the ordinary too, focusing largely on wordplay, non-sequiturs, whimsy, and object observations. Here's an example: ''I ordered a chicken sandwich but I don't think the waitress understood me because she said, "How would you like your eggs?" So I tried to answer her anyhow. I said "Incubated, and then raised, and then beheaded, and then plucked and then cut up then put onto a grill then put onto a bun, damn it's gonna take awhile. I don't have time, scrambled!" I saw a couple of interviews featuring him and I found him to be, other than funny, a very charismatic and intelligent person, a stand up comedians' main assets.

His death came as a surprise to me because I knew him being in good health. This was not the cause of his death but drug toxicity, Mitch being known to take drugs, sometimes referring to that in some of his jokes. I have other favorite comedians too, like John Cleese, Rowan Atkinson or Dave Chappelle, every one of them having enormous talent but, in my opinion, no match to Mitch Hedberg.

Besides reading, I enjoy watching movies, the order varies though. Because of all the visual and audio attributes a movie possesses, 'the picture' is painted for you where while reading a book one must imagine the sceneries and sound on his own. Maybe it's the all known tv-addiction or maybe it's out of pure comfort that people tend to watch movies rather then read books. And, as if that wasn't enough, movies have yet another Ase up they're sleeve and that's the actor element. In theory he is only the means by which the movie is made, a tool if you will, but, as usually, practice differs theory and so actors have become the actual center of the movie industries, the movies themselves being just additions in they're portfolio.

Now, that I've stated point of view, I would like to continue and have dinner with Audrey Tautou. Audrey is a French actress, born in the Puy-de-Dôme département of Auvergne, France.

The reason why she is one of my choices is because I like French movies, although I don't speak any french, and because, out of all the other actors, she belongs to my favorites.

She is best known for playing 'Amélie Poulain' in the movie 'Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain' where I find she did excellent work. She has a sort of innocence about here, in movies and real life too, that make her stand out from the crowd and a very good choice for such roles.

Her awards and nominations are not many, quite few if we compare her to Jack Nicholson or even Clint Eastwood, but that's not necessarily all that defines a good actor and if we take into consideration that she is almost at the start of her career then she is one of the most promising.

She has also stared in English-language movies like 'The Da Vinci Code' or 'Dirty Pretty Things' which is, in my opinion, a great achievement. Not any foreign actor can prowl with taking part in the English film industries, yet alone the U.S. ones but she succeeded in doing so and for that she has assured herself a top place in my narrow actors-top.

Cosmonauts have always fascinated me from when I was little. They appear as some sort of uber-human to me. Someone who has the privilege to fly out into space and to experience something that big of proportions has to be special in more ways than one. Of course, nowadays, flying into space is something everyone can do if he is willing to pay a few million dollars in return and its' popularity is growing rapidly, its' like a very expensive vacation on a cruise ship around the world but at the same time above it.

I now come to my last famous person who I would like to have dinner with, Neil Armstrong.

Born on August 5, 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio, U.S. he is the first human being to set foot on the moon. Besides the moon landing mission he only flew one more time into space but before becoming an astronaut he was an aviator and a test pilot.

I think he achieved some of, not only o persons but humankind's, goal and many people's and children's dreams. I can only vaguely imagine what he felt and thought while landing on the moon, all the excitement, all the joy but at the same time all the pressure of delivering everyones expectations, it's all just breathtaking and unique.

Some of the reasons why only the best become astronauts is the training they get, fizical and mental at the same time. They are picked from the top university's elite students or, like Neil, from top navy pilots after which they are subjected to rough training and tests to see if they're body and mind are fit for the job of being an astronaut.

I believe that human kind will evolve and in time we will see other 'special' kind of humans who will represent the first stone set in a great wall of achievements that doesn't mean, though, that others may be forgotten.
